About me:

I've been a yachtie since 2011, and I'm passionate about people, travel and luxury yachts.
I am a robust, experienced, and enthusiastic Bosun on a mission to help yachties easily navigate and connect with the YachtieWorld, online and in person.

YachtieWorld

I am the founder of @yachtieworld, an online community showcasing inspiring individuals, yachts, and experiences in the global yachting industry. I am also the founder of YachtiePages.com, which is growing to be more than just an online directory for yachties. I have recently been appointed the Chief Digital Officer role, for YachtieWorld.online , which I’m pretty excited about!

Growing up

I was born June 17 1991 in Cape Town South Africa.

My mom grew up in District Six, Cape Town and worked as a conference supervisor for the elite of Africa.

My dad was born in San Diego, California in 1960, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist William Haubrich joined Cape Town’s orchestra in 1982. After joining the Cape philharmonic orchestra and meeting my mom, he remained in the South Africa. He now has his own studio .

My twin brother Richard and I are the same but different. We can be naughty and nice, and we balance each other out well. He is in Luxury Real Estate.

My younger sister Kelly is a strong independent woman who specializes in physio therapy for combat athletes.

Yachting

I started yachting in 2011. Fast forward 10 years, and I now provide digital services and support to yacht crew, yachting businesses, and yacht owners around the world. I started off as a deckhand and gradually worked my way up the ranks to Bosun / Mate, while working on my side hustle @yachtieworld in the process. It hasn’t been an easy road, but they say nothing worth having comes easy.

I always tell myself “I will persist until I succeed”.

But, what is success other than a state of mind?

As I journeyed around the world, I discovered that I was a great connector, I was passionate about the Super Yachting industry as a whole, and I had the ability to add increase to the lives of others in my ever expanding network.
